There are many reasons for choosing surgery for body contouring. Perhaps,
no matter how much you exercise, you just cannot seem to lose that extra
fat on your hips, stomach, flanks, or thighs. Have you noticed
excess fat around your umbilicus? Are you unable to wear the clothes
which you would like to wear due to the amount of excess skin or
residual fat? Cosmetic plastic surgery may be able help you achieve
the results which you are seeking by tightening, excising, or contouring
various areas of your body.Liposuction and the SLIM (Selective Laser Induced Melting) Procedure™ or LifeSculpt™
In order to maximize results and client satisfaction, our practice uses a type of laser-assisted lipolysis called, the SLIM (Selective Laser Induced Melting) Procedure™ or LifeSculpt™. Unlike other the laser or liposuction treatments, the SLIM Procedure™ uses advanced technology to deliver dual wavelengths of laser light, 924 nm and 975 nm, which are specifically designed to easily melt fat for removal from the body.
These particular wavelengths are selective for adipose and dermal tissues. This specificity for the target tissue provides for the most efficient fat "melting" and skin tightening available today. The SlimLipo Body Sculpting Laser from Palomar is FDA cleared for laser-assisted lipolysis and it is the first system optimized for this specific application. Since the procedure is more specific, is less traumatic and minimally invasive, many cases can be done safely under local anesthesia in an office setting. The result is better skin retraction, faster healing, less downtime, little to no bruising, smaller incisions, smoother skin, and remarkable results. Overall, the SLIM Procedure™ or LifeSculpt™ is easier on your body. The most popular areas treated with SlimLipo include the neck, arms, flanks or sides, abdomen, and thighs. In many cases LifeSculpt™ can rejuvenate the neck and may dramatically improve one's appearance without a formal neck lift. Wouldn't you like to get SLIM today? The smaller areas cost less; the larger areas have a higher cost. Depending on the exact areas to be treated, some treatments can be performed safely in the office under local anesthesia. The ability to have SlimLipo in the office under local anesthesia avoids facility and anesthesia fees which are often associated with hospitals and surgicenters. However, if larger or multiple areas are to be treated simultaneously, your procedure may need to be performed either as an outpatient in a hospital or in a surgicenter. This is one of the many topics which will be discussed at your consultation. |
